I actually did move the mouse over the image and nothing came up.

And I didn't know that you could find out by clicking on the image. But now I do know - thanks to you Melvyn.

As mentioned by PaulinMiami, Google always include an explanatory tooltip with their special logos. Also, if only you had clicked the image instead of grabbing the screenshot and posting it you'd have found out everything you wanted to know: Google also include a custom search with the logos.

They do some really cool logos on different days. I read an article about the guy who designs most of the custom ones. It was pretty interesting.
